    Hi,
I am running Parallels 15.1.2 on Catalina 10.15.3 on MacBook 12" with 16GB memory and Intel i7 cpus.

I had changed my windows 10 vm from Ram from 2048 mb to 4096 mb as I was running memory intensive program and all was well.
When I finished my project, I shut down VM and changed RAM back to 2048 mb .
Without stopping Parallels, I started the VM again (windows 10) and Mac OS hung so I let it hang overnight. Next morning system reports that it had crashed and restarted by itself.
Now every time I try to restart Parallels it hangs without me choosing to start the VM. Right now I have rebooted Mac and am running prl_disk_tool check without starting parallels. My questions are:
1.) How long is prl_disk_tool check supposed to take to finish? ( I ran MacOS hard disk check in less than 20 minutes from recovery mode first with no issues)
2.) Can I just edit config.pvs to change my <RAM>2048</RAM> to <RAM>4096</RAM> hoping it will fix the issue?

    thanks.

Here is what I did to fix the problem. I moved the VM to Trash. Started Parallels and saw that it was not there. Shut down Parallels, moved the VM out of Trash, restarted Parallels, and this time it did not hang.

  5. VM means the Virtual machine (OS) that you are using with Parallels Desktop.

Do you have any issues with the virtual machine configurations?
