I have a VM on my Mac laptop. I want to keep this VM that uses the internal laptop drive.

Is there a way to take the same VM and simply switch it to use a FireWire drive?

If I can't switch between the two -- can I move my current expandable drive to the FireWire drive.

I would think I could move the VM to the FireWire drive. But how would I tell Parallels I moved its C: drive?

Just move the VM and start it from the new drive.

    Hello,

d-v-c, you can do the following:
go to VM's Configuration Editor, press 'Add' button (it's in the lower left corner), choose 'Hard Drive', then 'Create a new virtual disk image' and then specify a location for it (choose your external drive). Now you'll bу able to use both drives.

    Best regards,
    Alicia.

THANK YOU. That's a very neat way of having two disks.
