I have noted that under certain conditions if I am working on a Word file in the MAC environment that was originally created in the XP environment, that an addition version of the file is created in the original folder, the additional file always starts with a . (Period space) and then continues with the original name . There is no indication that there is anything wrong when using the file in Word and no error occurs when you save the file and Close Word. The problem only comes to light when you next access the folder and see the new additional file. any body seen this behavior before ????? THanks John Build 5160 MAC PRO 2 X 2.6 G 4G RAM
No. I am aware of the temp file, they are normally dimmed in the view. this acts normally you can actually open it as a word file
