    This is my configuration:
    4GB MBP Intel C2D
Mac OSX 10.4.0, all email program running fine.
    Parallels 3.0 for Mac installed
Vista Ultimate installed, all internet program run fine, but Mail can only receive email, can send email.

The following is the error massage:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'testing 01', Account: '192.168.0.76', Server: '192.168.0.76', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 <[email protected]>, Recipient unknown', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Checked the server side, everything is OK.
Checked all the Vista and Mail setting, everything is correct as my other stand alone Vista.

    Hi,

What is the email server you are trying to use, from your post, the server address is 192.168.0.76? Where is that server located with respect to your machine?

I run the email software inside our office, so the IP address for that server is 192.168.0.76.

In last hour, I install an additional XP pro in the Parallels. And the email works fine.

So, there must have some setting is wrong or bugs between Vista and Parallels.

Oh, I forgot to mention that, I can send email to my own email address in the Vista + Parallels, but not to others.

Make sure you do not have the internal vista firewall blocking you when you are trying to exit.

Besides that, I'm sorry I can't help more.
    Good luck
