I just downloaded the demo for Dawn of War on the Parallel PC. I installed it, but when I open it, it says that the video card failed. I'm sorry if this sounds excessively negative, but I've invested a fair amount of time and money into this thing and I can't get a single damn thing to work. Is anyone else having so many problems with Parallel Desktop? Aside from Windows and a few other basic programs, it hasn't been able to handle anything. I read that Dawn of War could be run on Parallel Desktop, so I'm not sure what it is I'm missing.
Keep in mind that DirectX 9 is not really supported by Parallels yet, even though some DirectX 9 games may work. Before giving up on this though you should first make sure that DirectX support is enabled in the virtual machine settings. To check this, while the virtual machine is turned off go to the "Edit" menu and select "Virtual Machine...". Then select "Video" from the column on the left. You should see a checkbox that says "Enable DirectX support", just make sure that it is checked.
