The SSL Certificate for activatepd.parallels.com Expired on July 19, 2018 I am now unable to active Parallels after a clean install of OSX and Parallels on my old MacBook. I have tried to explain this to support but they don't seem to be hearing me and understand the Certificate for their website has expired. I've cleaned off my MacBook this way many times without any problems, the only thing that seems to have change is their recently expired certificate. The key activation does not work. Use of activatepd.parallels.com does not work. And I email the code and do not receive any response. Any suggestions? Thanks
Let us know the Parallels Desktop and macOSX version you are using. If possible share a screenshot of the error you are getting.
My Platform is for business, specifically software development. The setup is "old" to generally support compatibility going forward. I clean off my MacBook and reinstall OSX, Parallels, etc, regularly. I often have to load apps for testing and need to insure there complete removal by erasing the drive and doing a reinstall. It was only after yesterday's cleaning that I ran into a problem which seem to trace to the expired SSL certificate used by you activation system. Screen shot attached. OSX 10.9.5 Parallels: Build 9.0.24251 (Revision 1052177; Thursday, August 28, 2014) The errors I get are: 1) When entering the product key this page fails saying can't connect to server. The MacBook *IS* connected to the internet and browser works just fine. This error *IS* consistent when SSL check of an expired certificate. 2) I then followed the procedure to email the Activation ID to [email protected] and have received no replay. 3) I have visited http://Activatepd.parallels.com which throws an SSL certificate error shown in the attached image. I then add a secuitry exemption to get to the site. When I click "generate confirmation code" I get the following error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at activatepd.parallels.com Port 443
Hi CharlesC6, We've escalated this to appropriate team for investigation. We will update you on the progress.
Hi Charles, We've made some changes on our side to fix the certificates issue, please try once again. In case it still doesn't do the trick, please create a tech report and post here the tech report ID.
You have fixed nothing, the certificate is still invalid: Additionally, now account.parallels.com is also expired: You've had product activation offline for two weeks! EDIT: I have created a tech report with id 269323304.
unable to activate my new key- unable to connect to the Mac "%1". able to activate offline but still cant us my newly purchased Parallel 13 for MAC
Hi @jony1 , we had a minor technical glitch which has been resolved now. Please try to activate now and let us know if that works.
Hi NosG. Glad to know that you were able to activate now. Please post again for any additional queries.
Very interesting and surprising, because I worked at the same time with a similar system configuration and I did not have any problems at all. Yeah, and I do not think that such a large platform can have problems with the SSL certificate, if consider the experience of developing my web application there https://do-it-solutions.com/
