My Windows 10 VM has been freezing occasionally when I try to delete large amounts of files (3+ GB). Today the VM crashed and will not restart. At first, I could boot to just before the Windows login prompt - the background image loads but the login box does not appear and the machine freezes. I put the Windows 10 Install Disc in one of the drives, rebooted, and ran the startup repair utility. I could then log in, and left the machine at the desktop while I got lunch. When I returned, the machine was frozen again. Now when I restart my computer and try to start the Windows 10 VM in Parallels, Parallels gets stuck on the black "Starting..." screen, the wheel turns, and no Windows screen ever appears, so I cannot try the repair utility again. I cannot open the .hdd disk with the Parallels mount tool. Nothing happens when I click on this option. A second fresh Windows VM also will not boot with the disc attached. How do I recover from this scenario?
This is Parallels 11 and macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I can't submit a support ticket because the support page says my ID is invalid.
