Hello everybody. I've got a problem with the installation of the Mac drivers for Windows. I burned a drivers Cd with Boot Camp 1.4 Public Beta. I installed Windows Xp Professional Service Pack 2 with Parallels Desktop 3.0 (Build 5160). When I try to install the drivers Cd, the installer says "The installer encountered errors before Boot Camp could be configured" ( see the screenshot http://fabiofata.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album07&id=screenshot_04 ). I tried to burn another disk or to use the Boot Camp utility to create a folder of the drivers instead of burning a disk, but the installer said the same thing. I really don't know what to do.How can I install the drivers? Thank you.

What did you do exactly? You installed Windows XP as a dual boot with the help of Boot Camp 1.4 and now you want to use that XP installation inside a Parallels virtual machine? Or you only installed XP inside a virtual machine and for some unknown reason you think you might need to install the bootcamp drivers there?

I installed the Windows Xp Pro as a Virtual Machine under Parallels. I just want to use the Built-in iSight in Windows and when I select the Built-in iSight from the Devices menu, Wndows begins the "New Hardware Found" installing process. But then, it cannot find the drivers for the hardware and the Built-in iSight doesn't work at all.

    Same Problem

I've been having the same problem FOREVER now! Using 2.2 C2D Santa Rosa MBP; Parallels 5160, and XP Pro.

I have tried every method available. The Boot Camp drivers yield the same error mentioned in the 1st post and the extracted iSight driver does not work either.

    Update

Upon further inspection, I recall that when I try and run AppleiSightInstalle.exe in the VM, it acts as if nothing happened; I don't believe a process even runs in the Processes tab in the Task Manager... This can very well be the reason for the Boot Camp Drivers installation failure...

    Weird

[EDIT] - ciccio823, what version of XP Pro are u using?
