I ran into trouble installing Parallels on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. It blows up when it gets to the "parallels-config" step. Previously I was unable to get Parallels to get through that step, but I finally discovered this page, leading to a special build of Parallels. http://ubuntu-unleashed.blogspot.com/search/label/Howto So, trying that special build on 7.10, again can not get through the compile state. I have uploaded the log file it generates here: Oh, this site seems to support attachments... rename adding ".txt" and giving it a try... Any ideas what is the matter this time? Thanks! Michael
Solved by switching to the 2204 build I noticed posts that made mention to an even newer build: 2204. Indeed that solved the Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon trouble. I purged the previous package, installed 2204, no problems what so ever. Great work Parallels team!
