I wanted to ping the community as to any special precautions and/or preparations I should/need to take to make the transition from 10.4.x to 10.5 as seemless as possible with respect to Parallels. tia LJ
Simple - leave it a couple of months and let other people find out what the problems are going to be. Only rush out and buy 10.5 the minute it launches if you are prepared to treat it as ¨entertainment¨.
Until either I or others have tested the features of Leopard that I need, it will not touch a machine that has to keep working. My personal stuff for fun, sure.
I have been through all the updates since about OS 5 or 6 the usual problem is the update breaks the other applications and you have to pay for an update there as well So I am freezing this machine on OS 10.4.* until I need to replace it the older Macs all have an optimum system I expect my next machine will have diodes to illuminate the screen too Hugh W
