Parallels not running on mac - stuck with grey screen

    Hi

    I have had parallels on my mac for a few years now and not had any problems with it, however for the past few days every time I try to run parallels on my mac, it tries to load up and then gets stuck on a grey screen. The blue loading circle also seems stuck as its not turning.

    i have tried resetting and I have also tried downloading the newest version of parallels and nothing has worked.

    Please can you advise?

    Hi @KatieC3, are you using macOS Mojave host on your Mac? Can you please send us a Technical Data collected right after the error and a splash screen (Help menu > Send Technical Data...)? This will help us significantly, please reply me back with the report ID number.

    Hi, for some reason it keeps popping up saying that I have a trial for 10 more days, however I purchased my licence for parallels desktop nearly 3 years ago and I have been using it with no problems ever since so I dont know why it thinks I am on a trial?
    I have just sent the technical data report.

  4. Please start the virtual machine, select Actions (from the Mac menu bar) -> Take Snapshot. Again select Actions -> Reset and check if it works. Also, from the records, we see that you have only Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac license key registered in your Parallels Account and it is not possible to activate version 14 (which is installed now) with the same license key. Hence, you need to purchase a new license key to activate the product or you can reinstall Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac.

    Hi, doing what you suggested, action and then reset has fixed it and its now working, thank you :)
    I have no idea why I am doing a trial of Parallels version 14 though! I was happy with version 11. I am having problems reinstallilng version 11. When I put the usb into my mac it doesnt automatically run and when I go into the usb from applications, I have no idea what to do or what to select! Are you able to advise?

    Hello KatieC3, Kindly quit the Parallels Desktop 14 and download Parallels Desktop 11 from this link < www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd11 > and install it directly.
