Dear all, We are currently evaluating Parallels Desktop 13. So far we used an older version which was much faster than Version 13. Is it intended that that the new Version needs a Mac with more power, altough we are virtualizing the same system (Windows 7)? I just need to clarify this. If it's a pure hardware issue it would be nice to know, as we don't have to play around with all those settings anymore. Regards, Christof
Hello Christof, May I know the Mac OSX version you have now? May I also know how much RAM memory available in the Mac computer?
You have only 4GB RAM for the whole computer, Windows itself need 2 GB to start and work with it. kindly increase the RAM memory to 8 GB or 16 GB in the Mac side then we can allocate enough memory to the Windows side which will give you better performance.
Hi @Christof, can you check the Optimization Limit for the virtual machine resource usage To access Optimization settings: 1. Click the Parallels icon in the menu bar and choose Configure. 2. If the Parallels Desktop menu bar is visible at the top of the screen, choose Actions > Configure. 3. Click Options and select Optimization -> No limit.
