\\.psf is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. (...) The system cannot find the file specified."

    - Using Windows Vista Home Ultimate
    - Parallels 3.0, build 5160
    - Parallels Tools is installed (and I can see the Parallels icon in the lower right corner of the bar and it also says in there that Shared Folders are enabled)
    - I have enable Shared Folders for "All Mac disks"
    - I am logged in as Admin under Windows and as normal user under Mac OS
    - In Mac, I can see the Windows disk as a mounted image and I can read, but not write on it using the Finder.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

    Hello,

let's try to install it manually.
    1. Open Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center->Manage network connection.
    2. Right click Parallels Network Adapter and choose properties.
    3. Click Install.
    4. Choose Add service.
    5. Click Have disk, browse for C:\Program Files\Parallels\Parallels Tools\PrlNP.inf and install it.
    I hope it will help.

    Best regrds,
    Stacey

I get the error "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware" when trying those steps.

Problem solved after I opened my Boot Camp partition in Parallels and restarted it.

    Hi,

If reinstalling Parallels tools does not help then try completely removing Parallels form your MAc (will not affect your Windows VM - all data will still be there) according to the following article:
    http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790

After that install Parallels Desktop, start Windows and install Parallels tools in it.
