I have recently started getting a very wierd file issue that i never had before on my older mac. After a new 2017 mac, with a fresh install of high sierra, i have parallels installed with a windows 10 config. The issue i'm getting is that when i try to open some office files, the app will give me an error of file or directory not found, please make sure file ahs not been moved or deleted. If i move the file to a desktop directory, it suddenly starts working. I think this mght have to do with windows 256 character file limit, but from what i researched it seems this file name limit has now been removed in newer versions. Thus im not sure why parallels is having this issue. Is this normal? i cant find any info on it. But basically this is now getting to the point where i am willing to look at other VM solutions if this is a prallels specific issue. Could someone guide me on waht might be going on and how to further troubleshoot this.
