I am on the latest version of Windows 10 in a Parallels VM (Version 13.3.0 (43321)) under Mac High Sierra 10.13.4. When I bring up File Explorer, I do not have the functionality to click (with touchpad) with the Ctrl key down and select multiple files/folders, or use shift-click (tap on Touch Bar) to get a range of files/folders. How do I get this working like regular Windows? Thanks!

  2. Hello DonA2. Please refer this article to reinstall Parallels Tools and check if it helps.

Thank you for your reply, I tried this, and there is no change. For example, I open File Explorer to a list of files, click one file, go down the list, hold Shift and click another file, and instead of the entire range being selected, just the new file is selected. This is not how Windows works, it's like the Shift key (and other supplemental keys) are being ignored.

Thanks, I shut it down, and mapped Shift to Shift, and Ctrl to Ctrl, restarted, and no change.

Please refer the above mentioned KB article and make sure that Optimize for Games option is selected for Keyboard in the Windows configuration menu.

Thanks. I shut down the VM, turned on 'Optimize for Games', restarted the VM, and it is working now! Thank you.
