Hi everyone, I'm using Parallels since years, more or less without any severe issues. Now I'm struggling with my Windows 10 VM under Parallels 12.1.3... Today I had to change the size of the vm which - after some difficulties - went well. But now I'm unable to start the vm anymore. It always says: "No boot device available"... I already tried to use the workaround in Parallels KB, which says to disconnect the windows-0.hdd and to reconnect it again. But whatever I try - it doesn't help. Is there a way to reconfigure the entire pvm? Or to reuse the hds--file? Thanks in advance. Stephan
Hi Stephan, Please check if Parallels mounter is running under activity monitor, if yes, please Click Action menu > stop the virtual machine > quit Parallels Desktop and see if Parallels mounter is running under activity monitor, if no restart the Mac and see if the issue still persisting. If the issue still persisting, please follow the steps suggested below: 1. Go to activity monitor, quit Parallels mounter. 2. Open finder > check on the left side plain whether any Windows drives are mounted, eject any are mounted. 3. Once you confirm there are no drives mounted, transfer hard drive from the existing virtual machine to an empty one as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/121578 to see if the issue is resolved.
