The title says it all, really. (My question arises after seeing an article on the MacRumors site. See comments towards the end of the article in the attached link.) https://www.macrumors.com/2018/01/23/apple-new-entry-level-13-inch-macbook-this-year/
I refer you to the PPC to Intel transition --- Rosetta allowed PPC apps on Intel for a couple of releases. Worked pretty well. But in reality --- who knows? I imagine Parallels will run whatever architecture the raw metal is ... thats how virtualization works. ARM can run VM hypervisors so again who knows.
Thanks. I think maybe I was confusing Windows running on Macs as bootable operating systems, as opposed to VMs. I still rather hope they choose to remain with Intel for a bit.
Hmmm ... run on an architecture that grew like topsy and originated in an 8 bit machine vs a well thought out rational instruction set (as well as being the most widely used architecture on the planet. I vote for ARM.
