Will Parallels 12 run on OS X 10.12.6?

    I hate to have to upgrade everything if I can still send files to my laser from Windows XP, which I understand is supported in Parallels 12. Using a tryout version of Parallels 13, I can open Windows XP, but I can't send the file to the laser. Can I use my current OS X 10.12.6 with Parallels 12?
