Yesterday my Mac updated to High Sierra. Since then Parallels has not worked! Well at least it tries to open - I get the welcome screen but then the black screen - but every 30 seconds or so a blue windows screen will appear for a second and then back to the black screen.

I have read and read all the various 'fixes' for the black screen - but either I need to be in Windows to run the command line or I need windows to do something else in order to fix. I've tried F8 to bring up the fix screen - which does not come up. I've tried to do it with my windows 10 USB drive booting from it, same issue. I've increased RAM to 4MB, and tried just about everything else that I have found which tells me how to fix the dreaded 'black screen'!

Can anyone out there help me please -

Hi @Martin4x4, as a workaround please follow the instruction:

    1. Open virtual machine configuration > switch to Options tab > Sharing > turn OFF Shared Profile feature.
    2. Start virtual machine in safemode > open Windows File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Parallels Tools
    Rename prl_uprof.dll to prl_uprof_old.dll
    3. Restart virtual machine.
    4. Open virtual machine configuration > switch to Options tab > Sharing > turn ON Shared Profile feature.
    5. Download Shared Profile correct file and run it.
    6. Restart virtual machine.

Thank you, but this is not working.
The Options Tab>Sharing does not have an option to turn off Shared profile feature - I've set Share Folder to 'none' and Share Profile are all unticked.
I cannot find a way to open safemode - F8 starting VM (I'm on W10 so also tried shift F8) is just doing the same the welcome window and then a black window. Read the instructions on parallels web - the option for F1, F2 etc does not exist now (10.13.1), ticked select boot at start up - hit Esc key - starts the welcome window - balck screen. Hours now spent on this...
