I've installed Windows 10 on my iMac using Parallels 12 and everything's fine but after the 'Getting finished' part, the Wizard gets stuck and an error message pops up but it has nothing written on it.

Hi @Fernando3. Please mention the edition of Windows 10 that you have and the Windows installation media you're using.

I've already created a new virtual machine and re-installed windows but it always tells me the same error.

Alright. Please stop the installation and redo it again. This time, during the course of the installation, disable 'Express Installation'. After the installation completes, please install Parallels Tools.

I've already installed Parallels Tools a few days ago, disabling Express Installation did help with my problem. Thank you.

Really nice to know that. You are welcome.
This might have been done in a different virtual machine/OS installation. Since Parallels Tools can only be installed in a completed Windows installation, I suggested that you do the same after installing Windows (here, Parallels Tools are installed in this particular virtual machine).

Hi! I'm having the same problem. How did you disabled "express installation"?

When it asks you for a Windows product key, please uncheck the radio box which asks you for the product and check if this works. Thanks!

That's what I did. An error message still pops up at the end of installation process.

It is stated above that disabling "Express installation" solved Fernando3's problem. I wanted to know how to do it. Maybe this will also work for me. Hope you could help. I really need to use Windows applications asap

Hi @StephanieG1 , you have to start the installation once again and you will see an option to "Enter the product key for faster installation" . Please un check it and try.

Hi @DavidT16 , Please follow the below steps and check if that works.
    1. Create an emtpy shell for a VM and stop it.
    2. Open its configuration and mount an installation image to CD/DVD 1
    3. In Boot order move CD/DVD 1 to the first place and close configuration.
    4. Start the VM and follow on screen instructions to complete the installation.

could you be a bit more specific please
1 how do you create an empty shell and stop it ( i have opened a new instance (shell?), started the install process as before and stopped it . once ive stopped the install that instance disapears from the list so i cant go to the next stage)
2 as above , then how do you mount an installation image to cd/dvd 1 ? i have burned the windows 10 file onto a dvd
    3 fairly self expanitory
4 again self explanitory as far as i know

    Hello @DavidT16 ,
Please follow the steps provided at http://kb.parallels.com/121578 up to step 7 to create an empty virtual machine and in step 7, to choose an image file, select your Windows 10 ISO image file and then in Boot order move CD/DVD 1 to the first place and close configuration. Now Start the VM and follow on screen instructions to complete the installation.
    Thanks, Alfena

Hi @DavidT16 , If you have created a new virtual machine suggested in the article, it will get displayed on the control center. So, start the process once again and check if you are able to see the new virtual machine.
