    Hi,
I didn't find a suitable answer to my Problem.

I use an Imac with latest OSX (Sierra) and everything is fine. I use parallels 12 Business, seems also ok. Win 10 is installed, worked for my warehouse-Management after reinstalling the Toolbox. (The upgrade from 11 to 12 brought These Problem)

Now I got my Roland large Format Printer. The RIP-Software runs with Windows. The Printer is connected via Ethernet-cable to the Imac/PC. The Setup steps for the Printer usually should be, that you connect the cable, insert the IP of the Printer in the RIP-Programm to connect and insert the same sub-mask etc in the Network adjustments of the win control-Center.

After hours of Trial and error I got the following Status and the Printer is in sleep instead of producing and making Money :( That's why I am really set up!

Internet Connection in Windows ok (Network is called Ethernet, but Internet Access is via WLAN through the Mac) first strange Point.
In Mac I can see, that the Ethernet cable is connected, so green light. Also the WLAN with Internet is green and connected.
Parallels config is set as shared Network.

What I tried up to now: parallels config set to all the different possibilities, no Change.
In Windows only the Ethernet Network is available and every Change cuts the Connection to the Internet. I can not choose WLAN or something else.
In Mac I also inserted the IP of the Printer and sub-mask manually, no Change. Also tryed different combinations of the last 3 Digits...

Can you help me out to get this Thing running? Old Versions are running for years now, as far as I know, just the latest parallels 12, OSX Sierra and Win 10 are fighting against each other instead of working together.

    thanks,
    florian

Hello FlorianT1, have you tried changing the network setting in Windows virtual machine from Shared to Bridge or default adapter? If not, please try it and keep us posted.

    Hi FlorianT1,
Before going to the steps for connecting the printer, we would like to let you know even if your Mac is connected to the internet using WiFi Windows will show it as connected to the Ethernet due to the virtual network adapter. Please try these steps and check.
1.) Open VM Configuration > Hardware > select (+) and add Network adapter. So the Network 1 will be used to connect to Internet and Network 2 will be used to connect the printer over the ethernet connection.
2.) Select Network 2 > change source to Bridged Network: Ethernet
3.) Try to add the printer in Windows now.
