I have Parallels 12 for Mac that runs Windows 10, all on a Samsun E28E590 UHD monitor. Normally, a window can be sized to almost any size horizontally and vertically by grabbing the edge of the window and dragging it one way or the other. However, I can only resize the window for Parallels proportionally. I can only grab the bottom left or right corner, and drag it horizontally which resizes the window both horizontally and vertically at the same time. This means I am unable to use the entire screen space available on my monitor.

A second problem is the resolution is not clear once the window size reaches a certain point. It looks great when its small, but when I size the window up to the point where I can take advantage of the large monitor, it looks terrible.

There are few monitor and resolution adjustments available to me. And no adjustments seem to work. Is all this normal when using Parallels and Windows on a Mac?

    HI ChrisK7,
To change display (to a larger or smaller monitor resolution) setting in Windows 10: Control Panel>Display>click on use these display settings>select Advanced display settings

I appreciate your response. I did find all that previously and it has no effect. I will try the other suggestion.

Wow, this worked! Thank you so much for this information. It would be helpful if it were easier to find though. I spent hours trying to find a solution and this forum was the last step before buying another system. Thanks!!
