Hi, I''m a long time user, but am a technical newbie. A couple days ago, Win7 VM did not come up and eventually got the No boot device available in the black screen, followed by "The virtual Hard Disk 0 has wrong access permissions or is used with another virtual machine" error. This is followed by the message "Unable to connect Hard Disk 0" (either HDD doesn't exist or is being used by another process).

I have an old XP VM and a Windows 7 VM. I found a help article where you disconnect, restart, and then reconnect the windows 7 hdd but that did change the problem.

    Any ideas? Thanks

(most recent build of Parallels 11)

Hi @Mike Gag , please check if the Windows virtual machine is mounter in finder on your Mac. If yes, please eject it and let us know if that helps.

That was the ticket... i didn't actually see anything mounted in the finder, but did a restart and the problem was solved... duh... wish i had done this a few days ago. Thanks for your help...
