I shut down Parallels desktop and then was not able to have my Mac connect at all to my regular home network. I was able to connect to a guest version of my network but not the "regular" one. Once I opened up Parallels, the connection worked fine.

Similarly, when I try to connect to a public network, my guest OS can't connect to the internet.

Any suggested settings for a Mac running Sierra and Win7 as a guest OS

What does Parallels tools do? If I have it installed, is there a script or process to uninstall and reinstall?

Hi @ScottR3, Parallels Tools contains driver package for Network, audio, video, graphics, display, etc., It is very easy to install Parallels Tools as suggested in this article and you can uninstall it from Control Panel-> Program and Features -> Parallels Tools.
