I am upgrading a Mac system from 10.8.5 to 10.9.5. Had Parallels 8 on the old system. I have Parallels 11 install disk and so installed than on the upgraded 10.9.5 system. Parallels 11 is also running on another Mac. Naturally I was told I needed to purchase a new license - which I was willing to do and so opted for that. The only version I was offered was Version 12 - I would have opted for Version 11 had that been possible. Of course Version 12 will not install on 10.9.5! What do I do now? All I really want is a Version 11 activation code instead of the version 12 code I was sold.

    Thanks!

I resolved my issue by first moving Parallels 11 from the Mac that had it to the updated 10.9.5 system. Then iI installed the newly-purchased Parallels 12 installer/registration code to the Mac that previously had Parallels 11. All went without problems.
