I tried the suggested fixes in Article ID: 114703 and 118079. No issues there. Disabling firewall and antivirus did not help either. Please help!

Tried that and I still get the same error. When I open the Parallels in my application folder, it allows me to sign in and create a new virtual machine. Havent tried that yet. Does this mean its functional despite the error?

Yes, it seems to be working fine. You may go ahead to install Windows virtual machine on Parallels Desktop and let us know the results. We are here to help!

I learned today that placing the installer in the Applications folder allows it to run without the error. I had been placing the DMG in various places, and launching the installer from the image's mounted volume with bad results. Sierra has some new safeguards. Running some apps outside the Application folder may get different results than in previous Mac OS versions.
