Hey all. I'm attempting to use Parallels 12 and have an iso for Windows 10. The first hint to a bad time was the software was unable to find the iso on its own. When attempting to start it I'm given this screen even after a fresh iso download.
That looks like a broken installation image(.iso). Have you downloaded Windows 10 from Microsoft's official web page ? If so, could you let us know the size of the downloaded installation image(.iso) ?
Hello, I have the same problem than HannaR... macOS Sierra 10.12.3 Parallels 12.1.3 Attempting to install Windows 10 following a download and paiement through Parallels "new virtual machine " wizard. The following description is translated in between "" from the french wizard. After downloading Win10_1607_N_French_x64.iso, the iso file is located and the virtual machine is created, I'm prompted for serial number, the installation starts and get stucked at the very beginning, the installation process waiting during the first step "collect of informations" saying something like "No image found" in a window saying "Select the operating system to install" To answer the question asked to HannaR: yes I was guided to the https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10ISO page. Thanks a lot for your help!
I will make that three! I am installing on El Capitan 10.11.13 Parallels 12.1.3. It is looking for the .iso. I will not move forward and I have downloaded several times from the same linked page. Thanks
The issue you are facing is due the special type of ISO you have downloaded which is Windows 10 N-Type instead if you have downloaded normal Windows 10 ISO it will work fine. If you still like to use the same ISO uncheck Express Installation on Parallels Wizard and continue the installation manually.
If the ISO is not getting detected then the ISO is not completely downloaded. Please use this link to download normal Windows 10 ISO then create a VM.
Please check reply from @RobertS19 : I've downloaded from this link about 10 separate times. Are you saying all of the downloads are corrupted? I've downloaded 32bit, 64bit, Windows N, etc., just to make sure it is correct.
