    Just updated the Mac to 10.12.3. Now Parallels just gives me the black spinning wheel for a minute and goes away.
    Tried warm reset and cold boot - same results
    I have an IMac late 2013, and was running Parallels 12 & Win 10.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanx
    Ski

    Hello guys, please follow the below steps and keep us posted on your progress:
    1. Uninstall Parallels Desktop 12 as suggested in the article
    2. Perform first aid on your Mac hard disk ( /Applications/Utilities/ -> Select Macintosh HD on the left of the Disk Utility window -> then click the First Aid tab ).
    3. Reinstall Parallels Desktop 12 as suggested in article

    I took the opportunity to dump Parallels 12 and went back to 10. Works much better for me.

    - Open Terminal application (Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal);
    - Copy the following command, paste it into Terminal window and press Return:
    sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Preferences/Parallels
    - Try to run Parallels Desktopn and keep us posted the result.

    Your link to reinstall points to the uninstall page. I am not sure how to re-install and get all my windows apps running without re-installing windows and each application. Are they preserved somewhere. I was running just fine earlier this morning. and now get a spining wheel and windows says resuming for just a couple of seconds.

    I also tried the uninstall, first aid and reinstll trick and thew sudo trick. None of these worked.

    Ok I was able to fix my problem. Perhaps windows was having a restart problem. I looked up how to restart windows in safe mode under parallels. I was able to shut down the virtual machine, change the paralells settings in hardware to select the boot drive. restarted windows and pressed f8 to go into safe mode. This got windows 10 restarted. Then I safely closewd windows and reset my config to coherance.

    Glad you have it resolved by started your virtual machine in Safe mode and back to the normal mode. We would suggest you take a snapshot to save the current state. Feel free to reach out anytime. We are here to help!
