    Hello to anyone out there,
I have an issue starting up windows on the virtual machine.
I got windows from my other computer through network transfer. After that was completed, it launched the machine. Instead of windows, however, I got a black screen saying "no boot device is available". I keep pressing Enter and it keeps repeating itself. I KNOW THERE IS A HELP PAGE FOR THIS: http://kb.parallels.com/en/123150 BUT it's not working for me. I did what it said on the page but the problem remains.
If someone could help me out with this I would be very happy. I have a photo attached of the error.
    Thanks

Hi BaturayK, could you tell me when does the black screen occur? Is it occurs right after the migration? was it working before the black screen comes up? If so, could you tell me how long have you been facing the issue? Parallels Desktop supports migrating computers with GPT partitions and EFI/UEFI starting from version 10. Please try the steps suggested in this article before the migration of your Windows OS.

    Hi BaturayK,
we suggest you refer to the article then make sure Windows was properly migrated and there are no EISA partitions. Make sure if you use an external drive for migration it should be formatted in exFAT.

Hi, thanks for replying! I found the problem but it might have no fix. I went all the way down and checked partition details on cmd and it's a hidden partition. The article you provided above says "if you have a hidden partition, too bad because we can't migrate it". CAN we somehow migrate Windows with a hidden partition? Maybe the new Parallels 12 has new skills?

    Hi BaturayK,
Unfortunately, you cannot migrate if you have a hidden partition. If you know the activation key of your Windows then you can create a new standalone VM on your Mac.
