Parallels images became to "zero bytes" once external hdd drive was ejected and mounted again.

    That's correct if Windows virtual machine is running config.pvs file in use.
    You need to shutdown Windows virtual machine before unmounting External HDD running the virtual machine.
    In Windows virtual machine config.pvs damages lead to "The specified bundle is invalid"
