When you're HOT you're Hot

When I am type in a Windows application like Excel 2010, and I hold down the shift key and begin to type a word like HOT, the O comes out o if though I'm still holding down the shift key. The same is true for any letter that follows H. What do I need to set or unset in order to avoid that annoyance.

 

Hi, do you have this issue in the Excel only? Or in other apps too?

 

As far as I can tell, all Windows programs (both Office and non-Office) but not OS X programs.

 

Open virtual machine configuration > Hardware > Mouse & Keyboard > Keyboard > set to Optimise for games.

Hi, we've received your reply: Even though I never play games I tried what you suggested but it made no difference. Surely there's a keyboard translation that I could set up or delete that would resolve the problem.
