Since I upgraded to 12 yesterday, I have a couple of issues. Firstly the time to boot up into windows has increased dramatically. It takes 5 or more minutes to get windows running after I log in. It is also exceedingly slow once it does boot up. That is minor compared to the fact that my keyboard is not working in the Windows environment. I tried the Parallels online help but I couldn't find help for this issue that didn't require me to type something when in the windows environment. The trackpad is recognized and the keyboard is working inside windows applications like work. It just isnt working in the normal desktop environment. I did reinstall the tools but that did not help. I am using a macbook pro retina mid 2015, and parallels desktop 12. I am also running windows 10 in the virtual machine. Thank you for any guidance you can give me.

Hello RaymondT1, please check out this article to improve virtual machine performance of your Mac. Could you clarify on what type of keyboard are you using it? External keyboard or built-in Keyboard? If you are using an external keyboard, you should connect it to Mac to get work on Mac environment(Devices (From Mac menu bar)->External Devices->Uncheck "Keyboard".

None of the recommendations in the article were applicable to my case. The system is still running very slow. The keyboard works in applications but still does not work in the cortana window. Thanks again for your suggestion.

I am afraid it is an issue with the Windows user profile. Please create a new user and observe the behavior.
Note: We recommend you to take snapshot before applying the instructions

I had issues with trying to get a new user set up. For some reason it didn't like that either. Finally I reset windows (losing all apps but keeping data) and that did the trick. It seems to be running ok now. One other thing I need help with now is that I cannot seem to get back into full screen mode. Even though parallels is set to have all windows in full screen. Thanks again for your help.
