The problem started when I installed Parallels 3.0 from build 1970. It happens at school which uses BlueSocket to send out a security certificate for connecting to the campus WIFI. I have tried everything possible that I could think of. I disabled the NAT and other parallels connections, disabled all adapters etc.. It assigns an IP to the wifi card of 169.254.X.X/255.255.0.0 which I cannot get it for the life of me to release, so that the airport card will pickup the school wifi and let me accept the certificate. Has anyone else had problems just getting internet on the MAC OSX side of their computer with parallels 3.0 or Beta 2 installed? Thanks, Mike
I had a similar problem. I solved it by changing the Network configuration on Parallels from Shared to Bridged.
I would second the attempt to use bridged. What I would also recommend is running the 3.0 Un-installer and then the 1970 un-installer (just in case there is anything left over) and then rebooting installing V. 3 and rebooting again. The issue might go away after that.
yes I fixed it by reinstalling the updated version... had to do with the NAT and the other host configuration and Blue Socket at CSUSM ... uninstalling and reinstalling (total of 5 mins) fixed the problem and now am running 5160 build no problems... hope the new iTouch can login to BlueSocket!!!! Thanks for the help
