After downloading the Tomb Raider series on Steam I found that only the intro video would play on Tomb Raider I. It would post some error about Glide prior to aborting. After searching these forums, and those on Steam I found a solution. The solution is actually a "hack" to allow Tomb Raider I to play in higher resolution, but it fixed the Glide error. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=127637434 I did the first option (renamed the dll in the Tomb Raider I folder) after installing nGlide. I did not bother to change the settings for the movies, so I don't know if that works. After this I have played the entire Tomb Raider I game without problem!
