In Preference > Devices, I can't change the "When a new external device is detected:" setting. If I select "Connect it to my Mac", the setting change briefly and then switch back to "Ask me what to do".

    I can change other settings.

Did you click on the "lock" icon after making any changes? If not-> please try to do it and let us know the results.

I tries it without success... I changed the "Download update automatically" setting and then lock/unlocked the settings. I also noticed that when I unlock the settings, the setting window disappear. In fact, it goes behind all open windows. Also, I can't change the Advance settings. They only change briefly.

    Thanks!

After closing Parallels Desktop, I tried to delete all com.parallels plist from /Library/Preferences and the /Library/Preferences/Parallels directory. This didn't fixed the problem.

Hi RobertL11, you can simply open Terminal application from Finder -> Applications -> Utilities and copy/paste there: sudo rm -rf /Library/Preferences/Parallels
Restart Parallels Desktop application. It will create new default preferences lists and new .parallels-vm-directory file on the base of these lists.
