I've replaced my old Logitech Anywhere MX with a newer Anywhere MX 2.
However, the thumb button functions of Anywhere MX 2 are not transferred to the Windows with the new mouse.
(With the old Anywhere MX, the thumb buttons worked fine both in OS X and in the guest OS.)

    What's wrong?

Hi, please try to set "optimize for games" in the VM's configuration and check the issue.

Also as a probable solution please try the following:
    1. Shut Downvirtual machine.
    2. Open virtual machine'sconfiguration
    3. Go toHardwareTab.
    4. RemoveUSB&Bluetoothfrom the left pane by clicking on"-"button.

I removed USB & Bluetooth from the panel, but it still doesn't work.

    What now?

Not only was my problem not solved by your suggested method, now the guest Windows doesn't recognize a USB thumb drive!
I don't see the "Mac or Windows?" notice when I connect a USB drive.

    - Shut Down virtual machine.
    - Open virtual machine configuration.
    - Go to Hardware Tab.
    - Please add USB&Bluetooth from the left pane by clicking on"+"button.
Then, please try reinstalling Parallels Tools http://bit.ly/1cZWAa3 then observe how it works and keep us posted.

    Still doesn't work..

    I have a simple question:
Before: Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse that ran on Logitech's Set Point software.
After: Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse 2 that runs on Logitech's Options software.

Is there a chance that the software difference -- Logitech's Set Point vs. Options -- is creating this issue, rather than the hardware difference?
