    I just upgraded Parallels on my 1-month old iMac from Parallels 3.0 build 4560 to 5160. Now, whenever I load WindowsXP (sp2), the following happens:

    1. WindowsXP comes up, apparently normally; but then
    2. I get a "serious error" Windows message;
    3. Windows crashes and shows a BSOD; and
    4. Windows reboots, only to have the same crash sequence.

    The BSOD message includes "Bad_Pool_Header."

    This is, of course, frustrating since the earlier Parallels versions worked perfectly. I am, obviously, disappointed and wish that I had not upgraded to 5160. I should add that my Vista vm works okay under 5160. But, I depend upon having WindowsXP. HELP!

    Try to load windows in safe mode (f8) and install tools again.

    Safe mode startup, parallels tools install, followed by reboot seems to have fixed it. Thanks for thelp!
