I have Parallels Desktop 12, Mac OS X Sierra and Ubuntu 16.04 (each OS lives in a separate HD)
I would like to know if it is possible to boot the physical Ubuntu partition on Parallels. This feature is available for Windows on Bootcamp.
If the answer is yes, how can we do that?

When I try to implement this I get the message: PRL_ERR_UNIMPLEMENTED (0x80000008).

I deleted the Hard Disk 1 and then added it again. The problem is that is only shows two partitions, and the bigger one, where Ubuntu is installed is not showing.

I am sure that it is possible to boot Ubuntu. Why? I used the HD as an external device plugging it via USB, and I could boot into Ubuntu using PD 12. I think that if I could manage this "missing partition" issue, it will work out.

I figured it out reading Markus1 post: You have to change the type code of the Ubuntu partition from 0x8300 to 0x0700 using gdisk.
