Apple Hypervisor vs. Parallels Hypervisor in PD 12

    What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Apple's built in hypervisor vs. the Parallels hypervisor in Parallels Desktop 12? Assuming I don't need nested VMs, does one offer better performance over the other?

    Hi, Apple hypervisor comes short of the following matters comparing to the Parallels hypervisor:
    - Performance: slower on VM startup and shutdown
    - Stability: may crash more frequently
    - Functionality loss: no PMU, nested virtualization, thermal monitoring, energy profiling
    Parallels Hypervisor is the best one.

    If the Apple hypervisor is so bad, why does Parallels offer the option?

    And to what versions were your comments related?
