    Hello,
I am new to this kind of stuff so I apologise in advance if this has been covered a thousand times previously.
I have recently installed Parallels Desktop 12 on a Mid 2009 5,3 Mackbook Pro Laptop with two 1TB SSD's installed.
The factory hard drive bay has an installation of OSX el Capitan 10.11.6 and the hard drive where the optical
drive used to be has OSX Mavericks installed.

How do I setup the OSX Mavericks installation as my virtual machine? So that I can run the Mavericks apps in el Capitan?
I would hate to have to wipe the SSD in the optical drive and start again. All help appreciated.

    Hello @Mark21
Did you install Mac OS Mavericks using Apple boot camp assistant?

    Hello Dinesh,
Thank you for the exceptionally fast response. No, sorry, it is a regular installation as I transferred the
SSD with Mavericks from the factory bay to where the optical drive used to be and put a new SSD in
the factory bay and installed el Capitan.

    Hello Denish,

Where would be the best place to find instructions on how to install Mavericks using Apple Boot Camp assistant?
