I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 Pro N (all current KBs applied) and have noticed the following behaviors after upgrading to the latest version of Parallels: After waking up my Mac, and un-pausing Windows 10: - The Windows 10 start button does not work (does not display the Windows 10 Start Menu). I have tried both mouse click and Windows key. - The Windows 10 search bar does not work (text box does not allow typing) - Visual Studio does not resume properly. The only way to continue to use the application is to kill the process via task manager and then restart the application. The only way to get the start menu button and the search bar to work is to restart the VM. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Hello @DanielI Please create an empty virtual machine and map the virtual hard disk of Windows 10 . Please do it prudently, because all the virtual machine information is stored inside the virtual hard drive. Note: Please take a snapshot of your virtual machine,Actions > Take snapshot... before you proceed with instructions to be able to revert all the changes.
Thank you. This helped the issue with the search bar and the start menu. However, my applications continue to not resume properly (must kill in Task Manager) and restarting the O/S requires killing Parallels completely.
Hi DanielI1, Have you tried repairing Visual Studio from Program & Features ? If repair did not help, you can also try reinstalling Visual Studio and let us know how it goes. Thanks.
