-----This is my first post on this forum, so please forgive me if I'm not posting this in the right place-----

After I upgraded to Parallels 12, the "CTRL + Mouse click and drag" functionality seems not to be working anymore. I use Parallels a lot to run MS Excel for Windows 10 on my Mac and not being able to hold down the CTRL-key causes very frustrating issues. Here's an example:

    1. I want to select two "cell ranges" in Excel to quickly see the SUM of those cells in the Status Bar.
    2. To select the first cell range using only my mouse, I just do the regular "click and drag". So far, so good.
    3. To select the second cell range (without deselecting the first) I hold down the CTRL-key, and do another "click and drag". Boom, not working!

Instead of behaving like I'm actually holding down the CTRL-key, the keyboard behaves as if I'm clicking the CTRL-key super fast. This causes the "second cell range" I want to select in Excel to include only 1 or 2 cells. If I move the mouse really fast I might be able to select 3 cells the most. This behavior was not present in previous version of Parallels and only started after I did the last upgrade.

I already tried to launch Windows with the keyboard set to be both optimized for games and not, but either way it doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?

Same behavior happens when selecting icons on a Windows desktop. If you want to select a range of icons you just do the normal "select and drag". But if you then want to select another range (without deselecting the first), you'd usually hold down the Ctrl-key and do another "select and drag". But that that's not possible after upgrading to Parallels 12.

You should be able to turn off the option for a key to repeat itself in your Mac options I know. This should stop the key from constantly repeating. I'm not on my Mac to look right now but I know the option is there. I'll give more details tomorrow when I can fire my Mac up and look at specific path.

I tried this, but it doesn't address the problem. All of the "CTRL + Arrow" functionalities work fine.
It's the "CTRL + Mouse click and drag" functionality that doesn't work.

Note however, that "CTRL + Mouse click" functionality works fine.

It's just when I hold down the CTRL key and click and drag the mouse where things go wrong.

Attached is a screenshot of the problem. I want to select TWO cell ranges in Excel at the same time, B2: B9 and D2: D9.
    1. To select B2: B9 using only my mouse, I just do the regular "click and drag" from B2 down to B9. So far, so good.
    2. To select D2: D9 (without deselecting B2: B9) I hold down the CTRL-key, and do another "click and drag" from D2 down to D9....DOESN'T WORK!

While I drag the mouse from D2 down to D9, the selection very quickly stops. If I move the mouse slowly, I will only be able to select D2. If I move the mouse really fast however (like I did in the screenshot), I'm able to select only a few cells before the selection stops (3 cells like in the screenshot, D2: D4).

Sounds like a plan. I looked everywhere, but couldn't find those settings myself.
