As mentioned in the latest update notes http://kb.parallels.com/en/123948 Resolves an accidental issue with the mouse loosing focus in Windows and releasing to Mac This is not fixed. I work full screen, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen, and it removes focus from the guest Windows OS. This is rather annoying, imagine clicking in IE to modify an URL the moving the mouse pointer out of it to start actually typing. Then nothing happens, because I accidentally (most of the time) moved the cursor to the top of the screen and it lost focus. I have to click inside the URL again....
The Virtual machine will alwayse lose focus if at the top or very bottom of the screen because this brings up the OS X menu's. To disable this go to your VM Configuration< Options < Full Screen < Check Optimize full screen for games. This should stop the OS X menu and dock from gaining focus of your VM.
Thank you very much! Another problem, which I reported, happens all the time but I don't know what triggers it. The issue is when I switch to the host machine the keyboard stops working, I cannot type. I move the mouse to a hot corner, then it starts working, I can type. I don't know what causes it, I have a suspicion that one of the exit key is stuck (virtually of course) and stays pressed, like the CTRL. Thanks!
I have seen this issue also and it seems that the virtual machine is holding the input focus when clicking a notification which switches you back to MAC side. One work around is to uncheck capture keyboard and mouse on click Configuration < Options < Modality < Uncheck capture Keyboard And Mouse on Click Restart VM and see if the issue persist's
Are they planing on fixing this? The random jump to the top right causes so many problems as you working in parallels.
I am not clicking on any notification. I just press CTRL+ALT, then use CMD+TAB to switch to the osx app, like Skype. There the keyboard is not working. However I cleared the checkbox as you suggested and the issue is less frequent now. Thanks!
there are still many bugs that the development team hopefully will release a fix for soon. i to am dealing with the same issues in my everyday workflow. Theres a simple oracle software i have been trying to get to run since parallels 10 that works fine in fusion but parallels hasnt fixed there win 32 api to handle it correctly yet. Only parallels has the problem. its very odd
