The main purpose for the reason I bought the product isn't able to work so I was wondering what the chances are of a refund or if I just lost money to a product that doesn't support everything normal windows should?
I feel your pain. On the flip side Parallels Desktop does quite a lot for a mere $100. It runs most of engineering software that I bought (which I paid tens of thousands of dollars for - plus yearly subscriptions - about two thousand a year). But, yeah, it's extremely aggravating when Parallels isn't working.

Same case with me. My machine has started to run very slowly after installing Parallels Desktop and the purpose of running the Visual Studio program did not quite work well and so I ended up buying a new machine just so i could quickly get set up to catch up with our class sessions in the training school.
