Parallels desktop Business subscription update question

Hi,
I am usinng parallels desktop 11 with Business subscription key. the subscription still active. Can I update to version 12 with the same key? or I need to pay for update to version 12?

Yes, you can download Parallels Desktop 12 and activate it with existing Business subscription key.

 

Download the update and install it will activate after you install.

After downloading ParallelsDesktop-12.0.1-41296.dmg, my mac says: disk image cannot be opened. Reason; image not recognized.

What is the version of Mac OS you are using ? It needs to be at least Mac OS X 10.10.5 or more to use Parallels Desktop 12.

 

Yes if you are not running at least 10.10.5 this would explain why you didn't get the update automatically because your system does not qualify.

 

i'm running the latest: 10.11.6.

Would that mean all my settings are gone too after i remove the existing P11 installation?
