I am not sure what I did, but today I started getting the error "the virtual machine processor was reset by the operating system" every time I try to start my Boot Camp/Windows 8.1 VM. Once this starts, the VM continues to restart over and over each time displaying the same error. In an effort to try to start in safe mode, I enabled "select boot device on startup" then did not hit a key fast enough for the selection and to my surprise, Windows started normally. Thinking maybe something was fixed, I disabled "select boot device on startup", but the error came back. For now, I am leaving "select boot device on startup" enabled and waiting the additional time so Windows boots correctly. Any ideas how to stop this error so I can disable the boot device selection and get rid of the additional boot time? Thanks
Hi ChanceU, the issue that you have reported seems to be a known issue and our Engineering team is ready working on this. You can try deleting the virtual machine and adding the Boot Camp partition once again and check how it goes.
You must get this fixed! I am at the point now where this happens roughly 1 out of every 2 or 3 restarts. This is getting ridiculous and the option is not to delete the VM and recreate it every other restart! Chance
