Hello dear forum. I tried searching around, but found no obvious answer anywhere. Here's what happened:
    • I just downloaded a trial version of Parallels because I got bored of rebooting into Bootcamp always.
    • Started getting things rolling and then got the dreaded "No boot device available, press enter to continue". Pressing enter just gets me back to the same message.
    • Bootcamp partition is gone from Finder. Used to be a drive called "Bootcamp" now there isn't. It does show up in disk utility as an unmounted partition - so all is not lost? :(o_O
Too scared to press anything right now.
    What should I do?
PS: If wrong place to post panic messages, feel free to move/rebuke.
PPS: Running OS x 10.10.5 on a MBP late 2013, 16gb ram, etc)

    Update:
    Stopped the virtual machine.
Tried booting into bootcamp - got a message on the lines of "No bootable device found, please insert something"
The Bootcamp partition is now visible in Finder...

Please clarify us whether have you tried booting in native Bootcamp partition or in Parallels Bootcamp partition.
If not tried in native Bootcamp, please try running native Bootcamp and check how it works.

managed to get it working. followed steps here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6465316?tstart=0 and after a few more blunders it worked...
    Post mortem:
    - Install parallels, say "run from bootcamp" or similar
    - parallels does his stuff, then on starting the vm up in the window i get the nice console saying "no boot device available"
    - panic
    - quit the vm
    - reboot, no bootcamp partition visible
    - follow the following steps: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6465316?tstart=0
    - booted into bootcamp, all ok
    - tried again with parallels, smooth sailing.
