I sent a program that I made to a friend that uses Parallels and he sent me back an error message that stated: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." The Program was created in Visual Studio for "Any CPU" and .NET 3.5 - I then recompiled it for x64 and sent it and he received the same message, and them recompiled again for x86, same message again. I had him try a few things such as : echo %PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE% - returns "AMD64" netchecker says v3.5 3.5.30729.5420 SP1 Version 4.5 or later is not detected. I have since sent the same program to several others using "actual" Windows, 7 as well as 10, 32 and 64 bit - no problems Any ideas would be appreciated...
Hi ZomatilloL, Need to know What is the version of Windows your friend is using , kindly do ask him to reproduce the issue and generate a Problem Report ID for further investigation. Thanks!
