I currently have Paralells desktop but as a developer I am interested in the Pro version. But, what I don't understand is what happens at the end of one year. Will I no longer have access to Paralells? Do I just lose the support portion of Pro? It seems that right now I am covered for as long as I care to use Paralelles, however if I upgrade then I not only have to pay more money but my license can possibly expire? Secondly, I am assuming that the support for Docker and Vagrant offers something worthwhile but so far I have found no specifics about what these actual features will do for me. Is there a page that outlines the differences between the two products with more detail? If there is such a page I have not stumbled across it so far. Oh, one last thing. I was sent a link to get "special" upgrade pricing which was an additional $59 per year for Pro. However following a link from the Parallels home page the cost was only $49 per year. WTF? The whole Pro thing to me seems very poorly marketed and thought out. I don't know why they wouldn't just include the additional features and offer a higher priced version for extended support for those that want it. As it right now it is very confusing to determine what "upgrading" to Pro really means. :-/
