    Hi,

I doing a clean install of Parallel 11 and got to the point of installing Windows XP. I'm on the Setup screen where it says Insert the XP CD and press Enter.

When I press Enter (Return) key, nothing happens. I have a 2009 iMac with a USB cable keyboard.

    How do I continue?

  2. Hello Norese0223,
It should be because of the Windows XP CD which you are using to install is not detected by the Parallels Desktop.
You will find the "Enter" or "Continue" option to be disabled if the disk is not detected or loads for a very long time.
Kindly use another Windows XP installation disk and let us know if you still face the same trouble and we will be happy to help!

OK, I got past the above problem. Now I have a new one. I now get the following error window. I tried installing 3 times and it keeps stopping here.

    Hi Norse0223.
Please stop the installation process and decrease the number of CPUs to the virtual machine. Refer to this article for more information.
